Rehab that ends on the field — not on the table.

GATI is a sports physiotherapy and movement lab on 80 Feet Road. We rebuild athletes, weekend runners and post-surgery knees against measured criteria — strength numbers, hop symmetry, gait data — so you go back because your body is ready, not because six weeks passed.

The GATI method

Time does not
heal tissue.
Load does.

Most people are discharged on a calendar. Six weeks, twelve weeks, you should be fine now. Then the hamstring goes again in the second half of the first match back. We work the other way round: every phase has an exit test, and you only move up when your body clears it.

01

We measure before we prescribe

A 90-minute first visit: history, joint-by-joint screen, handheld dynamometry, video gait, and a hop or throw battery where relevant. You leave with numbers, not adjectives.

02

One physio, start to finish

The clinician who assesses you is the clinician who progresses you. No rotating hands, no repeating your story to a new face every visit. Your file, your loads, your sport-specific end goal.

03

Hands-on, then hard work

Manual therapy, dry needling and soft-tissue work exist to open a window. What goes through that window is graded strength work on our gym floor — that is the part that holds.

04

Your surgeon stays in the loop

For post-operative cases we write to your orthopaedic team at week 2, 6 and 12 with objective data, and we follow their protocol where it differs from ours. Care should not be a tug-of-war.

Please note: everything on this page is educational. Timelines and session counts are typical ranges, not promises — recovery differs by person, tissue and surgery, and no outcome can be guaranteed. Your plan is set only after an in-person assessment. Consult our doctors and your treating surgeon before starting or changing any rehab programme.

Signature tool 01

Where does it
actually hurt?

Tap the body. We will show you what we most commonly treat in that region, the phases your protocol would move through, and a realistic session range — then you can carry that straight into a booking. Flip to the posterior view for backs, glutes, hamstrings and calves.

Select a region on the body

Seventeen mapped regions, each with the conditions we see most often at the Koramangala clinic, our four-phase protocol shape and a realistic session range.

Signature tool 02

The recovery
roadmap.

Pick an injury, then drag the week. Watch the protocol move from protect, to mobilise, to strengthen, to return-to-sport — with the milestones we expect to clear along the way. This is the shape of a plan, not your plan; yours gets written after we assess you.

Ranges are typical for uncomplicated cases and are shown for education only. No timeline or outcome is guaranteed — your surgeon’s protocol always takes precedence.

What happens inside

The movement lab.

2,400 sq ft over two floors on 80 Feet Road: four private treatment rooms upstairs, an open rehab gym with a turf strip, force plates and an instrumented treadmill downstairs. Everything we test, we test in-house.

Assessment Physiotherapist supervising a patient walking on an instrumented treadmill for gait analysis

Gait & running analysis

High-speed video at 240fps on the instrumented treadmill, cadence and contact-time capture, plus a footwear and volume review. You get the slow-motion clips and the cue list on WhatsApp the same evening.

Post-op Clinician assessing a patient's leg and knee during a post-surgical physiotherapy session

Post-surgical rehabilitation

ACL and multi-ligament knees, meniscus repairs, rotator cuff and labral repairs, ankle ORIF, hip arthroscopy. We work to your surgeon’s protocol and report back with objective numbers at week 2, 6 and 12.

Hands-on Therapist performing manual soft tissue therapy along a patient's back

Manual therapy & dry needling

Joint mobilisation, soft-tissue and trigger-point work, and dry needling by needling-certified clinicians. Used to unlock a session — never as the whole session, and never as a standalone course of treatment.

Loading Trainer guiding an athlete through a resistance band strengthening exercise

Blood-flow restriction & graded loading

Where heavy load is not yet safe, calibrated BFR lets us build muscle at 20–30% of one-rep max. Widely used in early post-op knees and shoulders, always screened first for suitability.

You are not discharged
on a date. You are
discharged on a score.

Before we sign off a lower-limb athlete, we want limb symmetry above ninety percent across the hop series, quadriceps strength within ten percent of the other side, clean landing mechanics on the drop jump, and a readiness score that says your head has come back too.

you know all of them

ACL reconstruction · 34 weeks

Two surgeons, two different timelines, and I was lost. Nikhil put numbers on a page in the first session and told me exactly which test would let me play again. When I finally passed the hop battery in week thirty-one it was the first time in a year I trusted my left leg.

I coach badminton, so a shoulder that cannot go overhead is a career problem. Ananya rebuilt it in the order she said she would, and never once let me skip ahead when I felt good. Clearing the throwing progression in week twenty was the best day of my year.

I had been resting it for eight months and it kept coming back at the eight-kilometre mark. Farhan looked at my calf strength and basically said, of course it does. The Sunday clinic gave me a plan instead of a fear, and I finished the TCS 10K without a single flare.

Sitting fourteen hours a week in stand-ups had wrecked my lower back and the leg pain scared me off the gym completely. Meghana explained what was actually happening in language I understood, and by week nine I was deadlifting again with better technique than before.

Questions we get
every single week.

No, you can book directly with us in India. That said, if your history suggests you need imaging or an orthopaedic opinion first, we will tell you in the assessment and help you get to the right specialist — we would rather lose a booking than delay the right care. If you already have an MRI, X-ray or an operative note, bring it.
It depends entirely on the tissue, the surgery and your starting capacity, so anyone who quotes you a number before assessing you is guessing. Broadly: a simple ankle sprain is often six to eight sessions, a tendinopathy eight to twelve, and a post-operative ACL is a nine-month journey with twenty-four to thirty-six supervised sessions spread across it. You get your own range in writing after the first visit, and we revise it openly if things change.
Shorts or loose track pants, a t-shirt you can move in, and your sport shoes — the actual pair you train in, not a new one. Bring any scans, reports or surgical notes, and a list of the medicines you are on. If you are a runner, bring your two most-used pairs so we can look at wear pattern.
Some hands-on techniques and some loading are uncomfortable, and a mild ache for a day after a new exercise block is normal. Sharp pain, or pain that lingers past 24 hours, is information — tell your physio and the plan gets adjusted. Nothing here is a no-pain-no-gain clinic; we work at the load your tissue can accept today.
No, and please be careful with any clinic that does. Recovery depends on the injury, the surgery, your age and training history, and on factors none of us control. What we can promise is an honest assessment, a plan built on published rehabilitation criteria, objective re-testing so you are never guessing, and a clear conversation if the evidence says your goal needs to change. Please consult our doctors and your treating surgeon for advice about your specific case.
Always. If your surgeon has issued a protocol, that document leads and we work inside it. We send them written updates with objective data at week 2, 6 and 12, and we call them directly if we see something that concerns us. If you have not been given a protocol, we will ask for one on your behalf.
Yes for follow-up and programme progression, and yes for home visits in the Koramangala, Ejipura, HSR and Indiranagar belt for early post-operative cases who cannot travel. The first assessment must be in person — strength testing, hands-on examination and video capture cannot be done properly over a video call.
Pay at the desk by UPI, card or cash — nothing is charged through this website. Packs are valid six months and transferable within a family. Cancel or reschedule at least four hours ahead and the session goes back into your balance; below four hours, or a no-show, uses one session. If we cancel on you, that session is free.
Yes. Growing athletes are managed differently — growth-plate related pain, sudden height changes and multi-sport load all get factored in, and a parent or guardian stays in the room for the whole session. We also speak to the academy coach with your consent, because the training load is usually part of the problem and always part of the solution.
